Biography
Rachael is an Assistant Prosecutor who focuses on prosecuting juvenile
delinquency and traffic cases and working with the Williams County
Department of Job and Family Services in juvenile abuse, neglect,
dependency cases. Rachael also handles some of the civil matters for the
Office of the Prosecuting Attorney.
Education
Rachael is a graduate of Kalamazoo
College with a liberal arts bachelor’s degree in psychology. While at
Kalamazoo, Rachael studied abroad in Strasbourg, France, and completed
her Senior Individualized Project studying the positive effects of
shared parenting in Williams County. After graduating from Kalamazoo,
Rachael received her Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley law school with a
General Practice, Solo and Small Firm concentration. She also interned
at the Cooley Sixty Plus, Inc. Elder Law Clinic.
Experience & Memberships
Before joining the
Williams County Prosecutor’s office, Rachael practiced general law in
Montpelier with her father. Rachael is a past president and current
member of the Montpelier Area Foundation and is a very active member of
the Montpelier Rotary Club and the current first vice present. She is a
past president and current member of the Williams County Bar
Association. She is a lifelong Montpelier resident and lives with her
husband, Tyson in rural Montpelier.
