RECYCLE UNUSED CELL PHONES ! ! !
Williams County Department of Aging collects old, unused cell phones to raise funds
for transportation by sending to a recycler.  Drop off your old cell phones
 at any senior center or the main office at 201 E. High St., Suite 2, Bryan.

HOME DELIVERED MEALS

Older Adults who are unable to come to the center and who find it difficult to shop for and prepare meals are eligible to receive home-delivered meals from the Williams County Department of Aging. The balanced, nutritious meals are prepared and packed at two kitchens, then delivered from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday throughout the entire county. People must be 60 or older and need help to maintain proper nutrition. Our drivers also offer a friendly greeting and quick wellness check with clients. Call your local senior center or the main office to request this service or for more information.

TRANSPORTATION

Seniors often need help with transportation in order to stay healthy and active. The Williams County Department of Aging is the primary provider of non-emergency transportation for older adults in the county. Drivers accompany seniors to medical appointments locally and as far as Toledo and Ft. Wayne. Transportation is also provided for people coming to the centers, shopping, and going to special events. Clients must be 60 or older and need to make reservations in advance by calling the local center.

INFORMATION AND REFERRAL/OUTREACH

Williams County Department of Aging is an excellent resource for information on any aging issue including insurance, senior living options, PASSPORT, services and resources.  Equipment such as bath aids and wheelchairs are for loan--call 419-633-4317.  In addition, the Bryan and Montpelier Senior Centers house caregiver and Alzheimer's libraries with materials available for loan.
Independent Living Assistance can help with errands, shopping, bill paying.  Call the office at 419-633-4317
Farmers' Market Coupons can save older adults $50 during the produce season when shopping at stands from June until October.  Applications must be filled out and mailed to Area Office On Aging. Call 419-633-4317 to get an application.
Lifesaving Information for Emergencies (L.I.F.E.) - Project offers forms to provide emergency information when you are unable to speak for yourself.  Visit any senior center or 201 E. High St., Ste 2, Bryan to pick up L.I.F.E. kit.
